Because of the Bishop’s visit, and the activities of Advent, we will have our Annual Parish Meeting on January 24, 2016. The new vestry will take office in February.
We will have FIVE positions open on Vestry this January., because it has been a special year! Two terms have reached their end. Sally Strickling and Linda Gray were elected as vestry members to fill to newly created positions for six months, with the understanding that they are eligible to run at the end of the year. Eugene Bentz, who replaced Brenda Whidden on the Vestry, also agreed to fill the position until the end of the year, and be eligible to run. The entire parish thanks all who have been on the vestry these recent interesting years!
Therefore, we need to elect ONE person to serve a one year term; TWO people to fill the new positions for two years, and THREE people to fill regular three-year terms. After that, starting in December 2016, we will be electing three vestry members every year.
As of this writing the following people have expressed interest in serving on the Vestry: Sally Strickling, Jen Kentgen, and Jan Chappel.
To serve on the Vestry, you must:

Vestry Members are expected to attend church regularly, participate in the life of the church, provide leadership in programs, attend all Vestry meetings, and help make decisions and work for the benefit and welfare of the congregation.
